Analog gaming at AireCon, Harrogate 2017

Harrogate Convention Centre will host its first convention for board game enthusiasts on the back of a growing trend for ‘analog’ gaming.

The fourth AireCon event will take place in 2017 in Harrogate as organisers look to expand the gathering and attract hundreds of people of all ages.

AireCon’s Show Director, Mark Cooke said: “Analog gaming has really taken off in recent years and has become a great way to socialise and have some fun.

“The event encompasses all sorts of game types, most commonly board or tabletop games, role-playing-games and card games.

“We founded AireCon to bring people together in a relaxed environment where they can play games, share their love of the hobby and make new friends.

“Now we feel that AireCon has grown and we want to take it to the next level so that’s why we’re bringing it to Harrogate Convention Centre in 2017.”

Harrogate Convention Centre’s head of sales and events, Brian Dobson said: “This is a great new event for Harrogate. We have a great track record of helping to establish and build smaller shows and I’m sure AireCon will find a perfect home in Harrogate for its many visitors.”

AireCon 4 will come to Harrogate Convention Centre for three days on 10-12 March 2017.
