Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) has signed a new contract with Northern Homebuilding & Renovating Show to host the event until 2028. Coming up on 31 October–2 November this year, the 31-year-old show is one of six large-scale exhibitions taking place at the venue this autumn.

Research conducted by the show organisers found the average spend for showgoers has risen to £63,000 in the region over the past three years in five key product categories—ventilation, heating, renewable energy, insulation and drainage—to make their dream home more sustainable, healthier, and energy-efficient, which represents more than a 20% average year-on-year increase.

Of the Harrogate show visitors 87% have a project on the go or will have in the next 12 months; on average they spend nearly four hours at the show and over half (54%) say that the Homebuilding & Renovating Show is the only show they visit.

The exhibition is expected to attract 10,000 visitors, bringing an approximate economic impact of over £766,000 (excluding project spend) to the spa town.

Self-builders and renovators visiting this year’s Northern Homebuilding & Renovating Show, sponsored by Korniche, will have access to trusted advice from the biggest line-up of property experts and exhibitors under one roof to help plan their sustainable, energy-efficient dream homes.

More than 240 exhibitors will be showcasing sustainable living products and hundreds of other innovative building and renovation solutions at the 2025 show. Seminars and the Masterclass Theatre will cover specialist topics from heating and design to budgeting and sustainability, providing invaluable insights and advice for aspiring renovators and builders. The show’s panel of experts will also be available for private one-on-one 15-minute consultations available to book at the Advice Centre.

Nick Noble, Commercial & Events Director Future PLC, organiser of the show, says, We're delighted to extend our arrangement with HCC for another three years. We choose Harrogate for its excellent location and the first-class facilities it has to offer. The venue is always a major highlight of our annual calendar of events for exhibitors, visitors and our organising team.”

Paula Lorimer, Director at Harrogate Convention Centre, says, “One of the most important events for suppliers and homebuilders in the region, the Northern Homebuilding and Renovating Show has a long history in Harrogate, and we are delighted to renew our relationship. With our charming destination, accessible location and excellent event facilities, our venue offers the perfect backdrop for large-scale exhibitions. We look forward to welcoming the show back to Harrogate this October and for many more years to come.”

Other upcoming public exhibitions at HCC include Thought Bubble Comic Convention (15-16 November) and Knit + Stitch (20-23 November).
