The National Autistic Society’s Autism Professional Conference

Sharon King delivering the keynote at National Autistic Society’s Autism Professional Conference.

The National Autistic Society’s Autism Professional Conference is a regular visitor to Harrogate Convention Centre each spring and sees the UK’s leading experts on autism gather to discuss the latest treatments and best practice.

Hundreds of healthcare, education and social care specialists use our main auditorium as the focus point for the two-day conference, while Hall D, with its abundance of natural light, is used for the accompanying exhibition.

The organisers love the facilities at our venue, while the delegates enjoy exploring Harrogate itself during their free time.

With a growing national awareness of autism and the challenges it presents, Harrogate Convention Centre is proud to provide a home for the innovations and campaigns championed at this annual event.

Kate Laird, head of conferences & events at the National Autistic Society, said: “We always look forward to coming back to the Harrogate Convention Centre and it’s never a disappointment. Everything went so smoothly and we hardly had to worry about anything, it was all taken care of.”

She added: “We’ve had lots of compliments about the venue staff and how helpful and friendly they all were.  It’s always great to see the same faces there when we come back year after year – it goes to show what a great team you have working there.”
