THE AMY WINEHOUSE BAND
Royal Hall - Sunday 14th February
Due to huge demand, The Amy Winehouse Band – Amy’s original band who were with her from the very start, and throughout her meteoric rise – have announced additional dates for their major UK tour, celebrating the 20th anniversary of her defining album, Back to Black.
Released in 2006, Back to Black became the album that transformed Amy Winehouse from a rising British talent into a global cultural force. It propelled her to unprecedented heights, culminating in five GRAMMY Award wins at the 2008 ceremony (Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best New Artist), making her the first British woman to win that many in one night. Performing with her that evening, as they had since her earliest gigs in London pubs, was her band.
Now, The Amy Winehouse Band continue to bring her catalogue to audiences around the world, keeping Amy’s musical legacy alive and giving new generations the chance to experience these modern classic songs performed live.
Led by Amy’s long‑time musical director and bass player Dale Davis, The Amy Winehouse Band features members who both toured and recorded with Amy throughout her career.
